Абстракт
The purpose of this study was evaluate marginal gap of CAD-CAM (computer-aided design/machining)cores with different proximal heights representing crowns for scalloped and flat morphotypes. Thirty Zirconiacores and ten metal ceramics crowns were used to evaluate the marginal gap. The means of gaps among the groupswere 58±27 urn, 69±23 um, 89±29 urn and 80±28 urn, groups I, II, III and IV, respectively. In relation to the proximaland labiopalatal surfaces there is no statistical difference among the groups, except group I. No significant differenceswere observed in firing stages of all groups. The mean marginal gap of all four groups was less than 100 um. In otherwords, the mean fell well within the acceptable clinical ranges.
